Introduction
SteelSeries is a Denmark-based peripherals company founded in 2001. The Aerox 5 Wireless is a very straightforward product: An Aerox 5, just wireless. Compared to the latter, the Aerox 5 Wireless adds 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, along with an advertised battery life of up to 180 hours. Everything else is the same: The TrueMove Air sensor capable of 18,000 CPI is used, which is a modified PixArt PAW3335. TTC Golden Micro switches rated for 80 million clicks are used for the main buttons, accompanied by pure PTFE feet. The charging cable is USB Type-C and particularly flexible, and at 73 g, the Aerox 5 Wireless is among the lightest wireless mice in its class. Lastly, both the rich RGB lighting and nine buttons in total, which include a sniper button and rocker, are configurable within SteelSeries GG.
