Value and Conclusion

  • The Sunbeam Tuniq Tower sells for $54.99 US Dollars.
  • Great performance
  • Wide compatibility (754, 939/940, AM2, 478 and 775)
  • Fan controller included
  • Fairly easy installation
  • Fan is very loud at full speed
  • Copper base was not flat
  • High price tag
  • Very long fan and controller wires
  • Very heavy
The Sunbeam Tuniq Tower proved to be a great performer, ranking at the top of the field in this test setup. The installation was typical of a bolt-on type of cooler, and the process was fairly easy. Sunbeam even makes another version that uses a blue LED 120mm fan instead of the black one viewed here.

However, there were some minor issues with the Tuniq Tower. The wires for the fan and the controller were very long and got in the way of the installation. At full speed the fan was very loud, although when turned down to low the fan was very quiet. Also, it is one of the heaviest heatsinks I have seen so far. The two biggest problems of the Tuniq Tower are the high price and the concave base.

Overall the Tuniq Tower is a great heatsink and provides excellent performance. If the price tag is not an obstacle the Tuniq Tower should be at the top of your list.
