Super Flower makes good PSUs, there is no doubt about that. The brand used to have a strong presence in the US through EVGA, mostly with the G2/3, P2, and T2 lines. As it seems, their collaboration has come to an end, most likely because of the tariffs the US administration imposed on products made in China, and Super Flower is now on its own. According to a recent PR, Super Flower now aims to soon expand into the US market under its own name. This is good news, of course, but I am waiting to see if this will move forward as planned given the coronavirus situation, and what retail pricing will be.

The Leadex III ARGB Gold 550 W is a great power supply featuring nice RGB lighting, which can also be controlled by a compatible mainboard. Because of the different cables featuring the crystal cube connectors and the RGB lighting, the price difference to the plain Leadex III model with a similar capacity is high. Whether it is worth spending more money on the ARGB Leadex III model is up to your personal preferences. If you have a suitable case that allows you to utilize the PSU's lighting features, an additional €24 might be a good investment. However, if you don't care about the extra bells and whistles, the non-RGB Leadex III model is the way to go. The major competitor for the Leadex III 550 W model with or without RGB is the Corsair RM550x with slightly higher overall performance and availability in the US. However, there is no version of the RM550x featuring RGB lighting or a white paint job.
