Efficiency is Platinum certified and the available protections are restricted to only three. We would like to see OTP (Over Temperature Protection) too, a protection essential for every PSU according to our opinion. The fan is equiped with ball bearings, so it will last much longer compared to one using sleeve bearings.
The length of the unit is quite large, considering its medium capacity and the weight is over the average of the specific category. Unfortunately the warranty period is only three years, whereas the competition gives five or even seven years and the price is on the high side too, which puts the PSU in the top category.

As you can see there is a single +12V rail which can deliver the whole power of the unit, alone. The minor rails have a combined power of only 100W, the minimum we have seen even in modern PSUs but this power level will suffice for contemporary systems that lightly use these two rails. Finally 5VSB has sufficienct power considering the total capacity of this unit.

Cables & Connectors, Power Distribution

Native Cables
ATX connector (560mm)20+4 pin
4+4 pin EPS12V/ATX12V (630mm)1
6+2 pin PCIe (580mm)2
Modular Cables
6+2 pin PCIe (500mm)2
SATA (500mm+130mm+130mm+130mm)8
4 pin Molex (500mm+130mm+130mm)3
4 pin Molex (500mm+130mm) / FDD(+150mm)2 / 1

There are plenty of connectors, taking into account the unit's capacity. Nevertheless we are pretty sure that the PSU could handle one additional EPS connector. The main ATX cable is 40mm shorter than the length we think is ideal (600mm) while the modular PCIe cables are kind of short at 500mm; ideally they should reach 600mm length, too. Also the distance among all connectors, on cables that have more than one of course, is 20mm shorter than what ATX spec recommends. Finally all connectors use 18AWG gauges which are the right ones for a modern PSU. Higher capacity units usually utilize thicker 16AWG wires but in medium capacity PSUs these aren't essential and also would make all cables much less flexible, something that would have a negative impact on cable management tasks.

Since this PSU features a single +12V rail we do not have anything to comment about its power distribution.
