Installation

Installing the Swiftech H220 X2 is very easy. First, the backplate needs to be placed onto the motherboard. From there, use the screw posts to hold the backplate in place. With that done, apply some thermal paste in preparation for mounting the CPU block.

With some thermal paste applied, you can now mount the CPU block. Remember to tighten it down in a criss-cross pattern. I had to reinstall the fans since I removed them; however, most users can simply bypass this step. Now, properly connect the pump and fan / ALED controller to SATA power plugs and hook the fans and ALED wires up to the splitter. That's it, you are ready to go.

The mounting hardware included with the Swiftech H220 X2 is much the same as with the Prestige in that it is easy to use. Traditional, long radiator screws or short screws and fan screws are provided should you need them. Given the system is also mostly pre-assembled, it is very easy to install. As such, I would rate its installation a 9 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
