The following graph shows the overall performance of the NAS in all tests we conducted using our custom-made software.
The attached expansion unit, fully loaded with HDDs, caused a performance drop. There was also a performance loss with encrypted files, which we were expecting since this server's CPU doesn't include a hardware-encryption engine.
With normal files, performance was on par with the competition and very good overall; however, in comparison to other NAS servers in the same price range, performance dropped by a bunch with encrypted files, which is a shame since encrypted file transfers are a daily routine in today's business environments.
