Synology sent us a couple IronWolf Seagate HDDs (ST2000VN004), which look to be ideal for surveillance systems. These HDDs have specifically been designed for NAS servers were increased reliability is key, thanks to their AgileArray technology. You could even go with the Enterprise Capacity line for even more reliability with mission critical applications since it boasts an impressive two million Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).


As expected for a NAS of this price category, the trays are made of plastic instead of metal, which is definitely more durable. These trays also don't feature any anti-vibration materials.
