Average Response Time

The average response time is the average amount of time a storage device takes to receive a data request, find the corresponding data, access it, and return the requested results. It depends on various factors, including network bandwidth, the number and type of data requests, the type and technical characteristics of the storage hardware, and the number of users that perform these data requests. For the results below we assume that the NAS is accessed by a single user only. Check the "Performance Summary with Multiple Clients" page for multi-client response time results.


Response time is close to 18ms in all cases.



Throughput

The following graph shows the NAS server's overall throughput in all the tests we conducted using the DiskSpd tool in an OLAP scenario with QD4.


Throughput is very high overall since it is close to the Gigabit port's theoretical maximum of 125 MB/s. Please note that the chart above doesn't show peak transfer speeds - only the average is shown.
