A Closer Look
The Team Group T-Force DARK ROG sticks are available in a couple colors and in varying speeds and capacities. The set I have here consists of the gray modules with 8 GB per stick, specified as capable of 3000 MHz with 16-18-18-38 primary timings. They are also available in red, as pictured on the front of the box.
The T-Force DARK ROG sticks are two-toned, with one side of the stick having a label. The side with the label has a T-Force logo, while the other has an ROG Certified logo.
The label provides the usual details: size, speed, primary timings, model number, and serial number. The top edge of the sticks (visible when installed) has a couple of really small Team Group logos.
The top of the heatsink forms a tunnel to allow for airflow over the DIMM that reaches from end to end. The tunnel is formed by two upper fins that are screwed to the lower part of the heatsink at either end, making this a four-piece design that is a bit more complex than what some other brands offer.
I did check the ends of the DIMMs for any markings that might give those of us who like to play with memory overclocks any hints on how to get the most out of these sticks, but all I found were a couple of numbers denoting PCB layers.
You can find a "1" just by the label that indicates the layer on that side, while an "8" on the opposite side shows how many layers the stick has.
