Team Group T-Force DARK ROG 3000 MHz DDR4 Review

Initial Setup

When I fired up my ASUS MAXIMUS IX FORMULA with the Team Group T-Force DARK ROG sticks, I immediately noticed that the gray heatsink tops actually do very well with an RGB system.

The gray tops do a great job of reflecting whatever light is bathing the insides of the case, leaving the sticks matching whatever color you like. Blue, green, it doesn't matter; the sticks look good. Like many other brands who have their name printed on the tops of their heatsinks, you'll find the same here, but I kind of appreciate the fact that these sticks have TWO OEM logos on them, which really balances out the sticks' visual appearance, top to bottom.

Once in the BIOS, I found that there are two available profiles; the secret sauce! One profile is a standard XMP profile for 3000 MHz, while the other is labeled as "ROG Certified". This is NOT what I had expected they meant by ROG verified!
