Value and Conclusion

  • The 16 GB (2x 8 GB) TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB 3600 MHz kit is available today for around US$246.00.
  • Topnotch performance
  • Good overclocking
  • Industry leading RGB
  • RGB not for everyone
The design of the TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB is an instant classic. The build quality is excellent and even the packaging has a premium feel. The mirrored plastic of the RGB diffusers is a fingerprint magnet, so TeamGroup has provided a microfiber cloth to keep the kit pristine. Despite the focus on RGB LEDs, the TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB still utilizes an aluminium heat spreader for a no-compromise performance experience.

For RGB LEDs, the TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB has great coverage, top-tier diffusion, and almost endless customization. The TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB has great stock lighting effects for those who eschew extra software and good software support for those who want it. This kit is also compatible with the lighting software from all four major motherboard vendors.

TeamGroup, of course, would never sacrifice performance in the name of fashion. For overclocking, the TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB proved to have a great amount of headroom, reaching 4000 MHz stable with my ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7 and Intel Core i9-9900K combo. That's a good result given the tight 14-15-15-35 XMP timings. My Ryzen testing was just as fruitful. The TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB achieved 3733 MHz with the stock XMP timings on my MSI MEG X570 ACE paired with a Ryzen 5 3600X. Manually tuning the timings at 3600 MHz, I was able to tighten the timings beyond their already excellent CL14 spec with no trouble because of the excellent Samsung B-die ICs TeamGroup has used in the T-Force Xtreem ARGB.

Finally, we come to the price. The TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB comes in at US$246.00. Not a cheap kit by current market standards. That doesn't mean this kit isn't worth it to the right buyer. While many will opt for lower specced kits and rely on their own overclocking skills, if you want a great-looking kit with absolutely top-tier Ryzen optimized performance out of the box, the TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem ARGB is the kit for you.
