The Next Level

As a follow-up to the previous question, with all the buzz about VR, is Tesoro working on its own VR gear? What kinds of gear? HMDs?
VR has definitely taken the world by storm. There is so much going on, and at this point, it is very difficult to tell where the VR market is heading. At this point, it is very software driven, making it hard to assess where to go with hardware. While we will certainly be monitoring things closely, it is too early at this time to reveal anything.

Several gaming peripheral companies are co-branding their products with other companies' hardware (eg: Razer co-brands NZXT cases). Are you exploring similar partnerships?
We are always exploring unique and mutually beneficial partnerships with other players in the industry, and there are opportunities we may embark upon in time. What is most important is that any collaboration we decide to go with offers added value to our customers.

We've heard of infrared mice, but never keyboards with infrared technology until Tesoro announced it. Could you describe how infrared sensors can add to the functionality of keyboards?
Infrared technology with key switches will drastically improve their durability and, thus, the longevity of keyboards that utilize it. First and foremost, as I mentioned earlier, IR switches offer anti-spill capabilities, and they also offer dust resistance. This will cut down on a lot of problems associated with eating and drinking while taking out the competition. Also, with the lack of metal, oxidation will no longer be an issue.

Another great advantage is the crazy response times these can reach. At 0.1ms, the switches have the ability to process keystrokes at lightning speeds. With Tesoro IR switches, users can also easily enjoy DIY customization of key switches on their boards.
