The Cyberchair E500 is the first chair from Thermaltake I have reviewed, and I was pleasantly surprised. The aesthetic is more than pleasing since the design is modern, even cutting-edge—gone is that sports bucket seat design almost all gaming chairs use.
For maximum breathability, the surface area touching the body is covered in permeable high-tension mesh, which makes the Cyberchair E500 one of the best choices for hot environments. The ergonomics are also more than enough to please every user. If there is a back problem, the Cyberchair E500 with its embedded lumbar-support system and sliding seat will provide the necessary relief, and it minimizes the possibility of back problems cropping up in the future as well. Its adjustable, well-cushioned headrest also helps taller users in terms of comfort.
The armrests are a major letdown. Although well padded and 4D, appearance and the sliding functionality are not to my liking. They look plain, kind of bulky, and aren't easily slid around, which has them look out of place in this otherwise exceptionally well built, luxurious chair. The maximum tilt angle is not as high as on other chairs, either, but since this is a beautiful piece of furniture designed to fit any working or gaming space, its primary purpose is to maintain the right body posture; its adjustable rocking function does offers some finer moments of relaxation.
The Cyberchair E500 is a high-end chair with an eye-watering price tag. The provided two-year warranty is too short for such a well-manufactured chair. Additionally, it only being available in one color option will probably keep many from taking the plunge.
