Packaging

The packaging is bright and covered in reminders that this latest liquid cooler from Thermaltake comes with RGB lighting. In fact, the front of the box shows you an ARGB-illuminated cooler, logos for Razer Chroma, and TT RGB Plus, among others, and inside a big box on the right it reads, "Patented RGB 16.8 million colors", with a screenshot of their actual RGB software control app. As such, if you haven't guessed, it has RGB LEDs. Turning it to the left, we find a black side with the company logo. When it comes to features and details, all of that is on the back, with a closer look at the TT RGB Plus software, various lighting modes, and a quick list of features.

The right side is the same as the left in that it is a black panel with Thermaltake in white and otherwise not much else. Moving on to the top, it has the product name on a solid black panel, while the bottom actually lists the supported CPU sockets and the cooler's actual specifications.

Much like the other all-in-one liquid coolers, we have looked at, the Thermaltake Floe EDX 360 TT Premium Edition arrived secured in a cardboard tray. However, unlike other coolers, it doesn't have a foam sheet on top. Considering the cooler's massive price tag of $240 on Amazon from Thermaltake directly and the word "premium" on the box as if crucially important, I am left a bit unimpressed as far as the packaging goes. That having been said, the packaging did do its job of protecting the cooler, so I don't have any real complaints here, meaning I am just a bit of a grump, I suppose.

The cooler supports all the sockets you would expect, other than the ancient LGA 775 and TR4, both of which make sense to leave out as TR4 processors feature a much larger IHS and LGA775 is long since dead. Moving on, a quick look at the mounting hardware reveals that this cooler should be quite simple to install since it uses a fairly simple design.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:

  • 12x Radiator screws
  • 4x Intel standoffs
