Assembly

To install the motherboard, you may take out the tray by removing four thumb screws. By being able to assemble everything directly attached to the motherboard, you should have a much easier time of it, especially with custom liquid cooling elements, like fittings and bent hard tubing. Naturally, the Level 20 HT offers so much space there are no real-world limitations when it comes to air cooler size and GPU length.

To add an SSD to the 2.5" plate, you may remove that as well and screw the drive down before simply putting it back into place. The only gripe I have here is the fact that you will somehow have to route the power and data cables there, which will disturb the overall look of the chassis. I am sure modders will end up buying white sleeved cables for this part, so it blends in nicely with the rest of the chassis.

Traditional 3.5" drives don't require any tools or screws as you simply pull out the plastic tray of your choice, place the drive, and slide it back in. The front cover/handle also acts as a locking mechanism to keep the tray in place nicely, which is a method Thermaltake has been utilizing for years because it works so well.

Lastly, screwing down the PSU is quite easy as well and is done by traditional means, using four screws in the ceiling of the chassis.

With everything assembled, the Thermaltake Level 20 HT looks pretty empty, but also nice and clean. The chassis is simply quite big, and even with liquid cooling and a multi-GPU setup, it would never feel crowded. In the rear, the same holds true, but routing the cables is a little trickier as people will be able to see things due to the glass panels. I managed to get things cleaned up quite nicely in the end with a bit of creative routing.

That really helped keep things tidy when viewing the Level 20 HT from the sides as well because there are no loose PSU leads, for example. Naturally, you really should invest in a modular power supply to help keep your system organized nicely, too.

As all the major connections face upward, there are several openings in the rear of the case to allow for cable routing out the back. At this point, it becomes apparent why Thermaltake had included that short power supply cable as it ensures you are still able to put down the glass panel without bumping into that bulky connector. That having been said, you may need to buy some angled adapters for your display outlets in some extreme scenarios.

Finished Looks

With the system turned on, the Thermaltake Level 20 HT looks just as spiffy. As it does not come with any RGB elements, there is only the white power LED on the top frame of the enclosure that lets you know your system is actually receiving power. Thermaltake has designed the case to focus on the hardware and any colorful bits and pieces you may use in your build instead of distracting with embedded lighting.

Thanks to the fairly clear glass panels, you can view all the hardware in all its glory. Even the GeForce RTX 2080 looks tiny inside the Level 20 HT.
