The Thermaltake Level 20 RGB Extended Mouse Pad is part of the newest TT product lineup, and it has a lot to offer. It's an extended micro-woven cloth pad with a textured rubber backing and RGB lighting stripes in its edge stitching. I have reviewed similar products before, but this one is fully customizable on a software level, and it's the first mouse pad I'm aware of that has smart synchronization capabilities: it can be set to work with Amazon Alexa.

Surface-wise, the pad is similar to the SteelSeries QcK models, but it's slightly rougher to the touch. It's a steady, well-controllable surface with enough stopping power. I didn't stumbled upon any uneven or bumpy spots during testing, although the pad definitely needs some time to lay out flat completely. My main gripe is the raised logo, which isn't very small to be honest, so it may bother some users as it does interfere with movement if you move your mouse across that area.

The underside is basically the standard OEM backing, which means it's a diagonally textured rubber base. There are no issues with it—the mouse pad doesn't move around on even huge swipes with the mouse. It's worth mentioning, however, that this is a rather cheap solution, and I don't think it's a good backing material on smaller mouse mats.

I encountered no tracking problems during my synthetic and in-game testing. All tested mice tracked flawlessly, without any errors whatsoever. Moving on to the software side, TT iTAKE is the company's newest AIO driver software for most of their new devices. In my opinion, it could be re-designed, but its overall usability is simply impeccable. You can control all of the pad's lighting settings and link them with Amazon Alexa, which makes this device the first "smart mouse pad" I know of.

All in all, the Thermaltake Level 20 RGB Extended Mouse Pad is definitely part of my list of recommendations—if RGB lighting is a must-have function for you, it can be a great choice. Its extra functions are surely interesting and rather unique; because of the Alexa integration, I may even call it innovative. Pity about the raised logo, and I hope in the future, more size options will be introduced!
