Out of the box, the Level 20 RS sports all the classical design elements of the chassis family, with 90 degree edges but some soft, rounded corners. Whether liked or not is always quite subjective, so the Level 20 RS will certainly divide camps.

The whole front of the chassis is made out of metal mesh, with a plastic frame holding it all in place. You may pull it off with a firm tug to reveal the two 200 mm ARGB intake fans in the front. Looking at the rear, the PSU bay is on the bottom, as expected from a modern enclosure.

The main side panel is made out of clear glass with nice black framing. Thermaltake has placed the power, RGB, and audio I/O on this side of the top panel as well.

On the other side is another glass panel without any tint, and,m to keep things symmetrical, all four USB ports have been placed on this side of the top panel. Interestingly enough, Thermaltake chose to go with USB 2.0 on two of those, which is outdated, especially for the Level case family.

The PSU bay below comes with a frame that allows you to slide a unit in through the back. Above that are the eight expansion slots with Thermaltake's signature design, which allows you to rotate these for vertical placement instead. In the very top, a 120 mm exhaust fan is set to push air out the back of the chassis. As there are elongated mounting holes, you may adjust its height to have it perfectly align with your motherboard.

The top looks very similar to the front in terms of design, with a large metal mesh layer. You may pry it off to reveal fan-mounting possibilities for three 120, two 140, or a single 200 mm fan. Alternatively, you may install a radiator of up to 360 mm instead. Thermaltake embedded a short ARGB LED strip in the front as well, so there is that added colorful visual element once you turn your system on.

On the underside of the chassis, you will find an easily removable dust filter that covers the whole length of the chassis. It may be pulled out through the back without toppling over the full system.
