Installation

Users will first need to install the backplate. Use the four long screws and four black spacers to secure the backplate to the motherboard.

Next, slide the two mounting arms into place and screw in the provided nuts. Now, apply some thermal compound in preparation to mounting the heatsink itself.

Fit the retention plate to the heatsink and screw it down onto the mounting arms. This will hold the heatsink in place firmly.

All that remains is to attach the fans' housing to the heatsink. Once this is done, simply plug the fans into the CPU fan header to complete installation.

It is very easy to work with the mounting hardware Thermaltake provided. I would rate the NiC C5's installation procedure a 9 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The general ease of installation is due to the cooler's design itself, as nothing remains to interfere with the installation once you detach the fans from the heatsink.
