Packaging and Accessories

TinHiFi shipped the T2 Evo with an additional accessory in a non-standard shipment, so we begin with the product packaging despite the company operating a web shop. The box the T2 Evo ships in is small and comes with a plastic seal. It's predominantly white with the company logo in gold on the bottom left on the front and product name diagonally opposite. Contact information for TinHiFi is on the back, along with QR codes to the website and social media pages.

A side flap opens what is an external box to access the contents inside. This reminded me a of a fancy chocolate box, especially with the inner box continuing the white and gold trend with the logo in the middle and gold designs adorning exposed part of the lower half. As evident, the inner box is a two-piece packaging in itself, with the top lifting up to reveal the IEMs, and two tabs on the ends to lift up the top layer and access the rest of the contents.

The unboxing experience goes through a crowded, compact phase here as TinHiFi attempts to stuff all the accessories into what little space is left. This includes a fabric drawstring pouch with a suede exterior and company logo. Paperwork comes in the form of a multi-language quick start guide describing setup and use of the IEMs, especially as it pertains to the cable and inserting the shells in your ears. There is also a contact card that is more a marketing exercise than anything else.

Two sets of branded plastic zip-lock bags contain the included ear tips, and TinHiFi throws in two sets of size S, one set of size M, and two sets of size L silicone tips. Presumably, a second set of size M silicone tips are pre-installed on the IEMs. In addition to the six sets of white silicone tips, we also get a set of size M memory foam tips in blue to leave no doubts as to which is what.

Not included in the retail packaging of the TinHiFi T2 Evo is the company's memory foam ear tip accessory set I can recommendation if size M tips don't generally fit you. What I got here is a set of three more size M foam tips because that is what I personally rock with, and I am glad these came with my T2 Evo because it shows that memory foam tips are more crucial here than usual.

The IEMs are snugly placed inside cutouts in the cardboard layer, and removing them is not that easy owing to the small form factor. Rotate the shells until the extension on the side faces up, which naturally positions your fingers to grasp onto and pull them out. Once done, we see that the sixth set of silicone ear tips is indeed pre-installed. The cable, on the other hand, is easy enough to examine in detail since it ships separately in yet another branded plastic zip-lock bag.
