TOPPING A70 Pro Amp: Packaging and Accessories

To no surprise, the TOPPING A70 Pro amplifier uses the exact same product box design and yet again we have to rely on the sticker on the side that tells us what is inside. TOPPING seems to have sampled the black color versions for reviews as with all the other products we have covered before, but note that the D70 Pro SABRE and A70 Pro also come in a silver colored chassis as seen in the thumbnail of this review.


As with the D70 Pro, we see paperwork included in the TOPPING A70 Pro box including a user manual (available online here) and warranty card. The other accessories are once again placed in separate foam cutouts and here we get a 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm (1/4") single-ended adapter, another of the same AC mains cable once again pointing towards the use of an internal power supply, and a separate remote control for the amp which I found quite useful in helping change the output type, volume, gain settings, and also saved settings onboard the amp itself. It is also made of plastic and takes two AAA batteries that TOPPING does not provide in the box.
