Introduction
According to the official website, UPERFECT was built around the idea of offering high-quality monitors aimed toward digital nomads, remote workers, and just about anyone else looking for extra screen real estate in a compact, portable form factor. The brand sent me two of their newer portable monitors for a review, the intriguing
UStation Delta Max, a dual 18-inch vertical monitor stack with an integrated kickstand, and the
UGame K118. This review will focus on the latter.
The $270 UGame K118 is an 18-inch portable gaming monitor, equipped with a 144 Hz refresh rate IPS panel. The panel has a 2560x1600 native resolution, corresponding to the 16:10 screen ratio. The extra vertical space compared to more traditional 16:9 monitors comes in handy in everyday usage, when working or while gaming, simply because you can see more of the content than you normally would. In the context of portable monitors, it proves to be advantageous in terms of ergonomics, too, since the panel itself is "higher," so there's less need to slouch when using it in a normal sitting position.
