A Closer Look
The Vind SL125 is a tried and true single tower design comprised of 50 aluminium fins. The only design element that is worth noting here is the slight offset that provides extra clearance for DRAM.
It terms of max height it comes in at 158 mm making it compatible with the vast majority of PC cases. As for the fins the black coating does help with the overall visual aesthetics and gives the heatsink a clean, uniform appearance.
Where Valkyrie stands out is when you look at the visual details. The black version of the Vind SL125 has a red and black top with two interchangeable top plates. Meaning you can go with the gold Valkyrie logo, or opt for the anime girl option instead. For the review itself I opted for the anime girl as it was more visually interesting and triggered a sense of nostalgia. As for the copper base it is nickel-plated and slightly convex as is the norm. Machining marks are visible but only faintly and could not be felt.
The fans utilize a fluid dynamic bearing and come with a tasteful ARGB lighting implementation. When it comes to airflow, they can move up to 80 CFM and have an RPM range of 800–2150.
