VAXEE XE-S Wireless Review

Shape

Essentially, the shape of the XE-S Wireless is a uniformly scaled-down XE, with all of its fundamental characteristics intact. The hump is centered, and gradually slopes down towards both ends. The front barely flares out, but the rear does, and the sides curve inwards only slightly, resulting in the width being almost constant save for the rear. The hump isn't tapered, and instead stays rather flat across the width. The main buttons have comfort grooves, albeit rather subtle ones to avoid restricting finger positioning. Next to the main buttons are small ledges, where one's fingers can be rested. Though the difference in size to the XE Wireless isn't massive, the XE-S Wireless ends up feeling nowhere near as bulky as the XE Wireless in hand, and approaches the NP-01S Wireless in terms of feel, with the hump location and right side being the most significant differences. Of note is the button height of the XE-S Wireless, which is lower than on most other designs in its size category.

As for grip styles, I'd say the XE-S Wireless mostly suits claw and fingertip grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a mildly pronounced hump, which should make it suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the XE-S Wireless very comfortable in claw grip.
