A Closer Look - Inside

On the underside of the top panel there is foam rubber vibration dampening material to prevent any irritating noises that could be caused by the top vibrating. The front panel wires come neatly banded along with the fan power cable. The inside of the vCase3 is quite roomy and comes powder-coated black, same as the exterior of the case.

The vCase3 allows use of standard sized ATX power supplies which means you can choose exactly which unit you want to use and match the needed wattage to the machine's needs. A lot of low profile HTPC cases come with included small form factor power supplies that are very restricting in what hardware you can use due to the 250 Watt to 350 Watt maximum they support. The case supports any micro ATX or mini ITX form factor motherboard and provides four low profile expansion slots.

Vidabox has made use of a simple yet highly effective optical drive and hard disk mounting system in this case. Simply use the supplied four rubber shock mount screws and slide the drive into the bay securing the latch mechanism and its locked in nice and tight. The case allows you to make use of up to three 3.5" hard disks for up to 6 TB of storage which cannot be found in any other low profile HTPC case on the market at this time. Unlike other low profile HTPC cases, the vCase3 design allows you to make use of a standard size optical drive to keep build costs low. There is one included 80 mm fan to provide active cooling for two of the hard disk bays.
