Assembly
To remove the top panel of the case to begin installing the components there are six screws found on the right and left side near the top, three on each side. To install the optical and hard drives simply secure the included shock mount screws for each device and slide them into place then latch the plastic retaining mechanism to keep them secure.
The rest of the hardware installs into the case as you would any other PC case. After a few minutes of planning most of the cables were easily tucked away to allow for better airflow inside the case. Each component has plenty of room to breath and everything was easy to access during the installation process. The front panel and fan cables were just the right length for almost any system you could fit inside the vCase3. After re securing the top panel and installing the included aluminum DVD bezel the case looks very simplistic yet elegant.
Use
After several days of running the HTPC though its daily duties the case seemed to blend in nicely with the other components in my living room. No noticeable noise came from the machine, not even under heavy data movement and crunching situations. The system still remained quiet with a BlueRay spinning in the optical drive. The case can be bundled with Vidabox's
Premium Wireless Keyboard at the time of purchase for an additional USD 59. Other optional accesories include a Blu-Ray optical drive bezel sticker, wiring kit, and IR reciever and
MediaGate Anywhere Remote Control.
