Efficiency

With 82.7% efficiency in our test, the PSU easily makes the 80+ range. While it is not a spectacular result it is well in the bulk there with other PSUs from well-known manufacturers.

Fan Noise

When I hooked up test X-Spice Kira 530W to test the fan noise I simply couldn't believe my ears. The PSU is so unbelievably quiet, I guarantee you you will not be able to hear its fan spinning at any normal room noise level. Our sound level meter which about as good as it gets just displayed "--.-", its minimum range is 20 dbA.

To give you an impression how quiet this PSU is, turn off everything that makes noise in your room, close all doors and windows, do this at night. Now it should be so quiet it feels a bit scary (if you live next to a highway, sorry you didn't qualify for this experiment). At this point you can only make out the fan's noise if you look at the PSU and focus on the sound it emits. As soon as you move, the sound your clothing makes when brushing to each other makes more noise than the PSU fan.
