Packaging

The PSU comes in a pale-colored, medium-sized box with a nice graphics design. The front is covered in a photograph of the PSU and Xigmatek's badge is located in the top-left corner, while the Platinum badge and capacity description of the unit are in in the bottom-left corner. The box even has a plastic handle at its top, which helps if you have to move it around.

This side has a photograph of the PSU's top and describes three of its features: Its stealth coating, Reverse Thrust technology, and iron mesh with a black finish.

This side elaborates on the Reverse Thrust technology this unit utilizes to avoid dust build-up on the fan grill. Xigmatek says this technology to increase efficiency.

The rear has two tables provide the power specifications of both Vector models, and a complete features list. Several badges here also describe all protection features and various certifications the unit meets, and a graphical list actually includes all available connectors.

Contents

Packing foam and a plastic bag inside of which the unit is put protect it well.

A nylon pouch stores all modular cables, while its other accessories include a set of fixing bolts, several zip ties for cable management, and the user's manual.

Exterior

The PSU's black coating is of very high quality. We, however, are not sure whether it actually helps in dissipating internal heat, though it looks very impressive. The silver trims on the fan grill also look really nice and the same applies to the side vents. The on/off switch at its front looks sturdy enough and is located right next to the AC socket.

Only one of the two sides features a decal, and the vents on both sides help move hot air out of its internals, and they even look sleek.

The modular panel has very few connectors and only three native cables. There is even a grommet around the cable exit. We should note here that there could have even been less native cables had Xigmatek not made both EPS cables native. You only see a small portion of users utilize both EPS connectors, which leaves the second one unused.

The dimensions of the unit are compact, and its external design is very appealing. Xigmatek did a fine job in this section.

The cables are fully sleeved, but are unfortunately not stealth or flat.

The sleeving isn't the best we have ever seen, but is still of acceptable quality, although we expected more from such a highly priced unit.
