There is a just a few bits of pre-installed software provided with the XMG NEO 17, one called "Control Center" for hardware settings and such, and another for the audio, and that is all. This is pretty much perfect, really, although the "Control Center" software could have a more dramatic interface for sure. What it provides is truly functional; from within it you can control most of the hardware features of the NEO 17, including overclocking the GPU and adjusting power CPU limits, fan control, and more.
One thing I found slightly different this go around was that with the OASIS cooler disconnected, the clock controls and such disappeared from the available options, leading me to use the OASIS unit all the time no matter what. With the OASIS cooler as good as it is, that is no problem, however.
The Nahimic control panel for the audio is pretty good at what it offers, and I did find myself using it fairly often, even with headphones attached. I've always been a fan of this software though, so I might be a bit biased.
