Packaging and Accessories
XPG certainly loves red and black, which have somewhat been synonymous with "gaming" brands in the PC DIY space for a while now. We see the colors in the packaging for the XPG MAGE, with an all red cardboard box that has a render of the keyboard lit up on the front and the corners taken up by the product name as well as a few salient features. This continues on the back and sides with more renders, including some to specifically call out a few aspects of the keyboard. Two seals and double flaps keep the contents in place on their way to you.
Opening the box, we see the black color make its strong debut all around the inside. The keyboard is inside a plastic wrap to keep it clean and free of dust out of the box, and two thick foam pieces on the side further protect the keyboard. The accessories are found either underneath or inside a closed cardboard box on the top.
There's not much to see in the accessories section, which isn't surprising given the MAGE is a budget-friendly entry. XPG includes a warranty guide and multi-language quick-start guide that goes over the setup and various onboard pre-programmed functions and customization options of the XPG MAGE. Some stickers are also included, which certainly don't shy away from the 1337 speak for those who want it, and rounding off this section is a detached USB Type-C cable I was happy to see.
