Value and Conclusion

  • The 32 GB (2x 16 GB) XPG SPECTRIX D50 3600 MHz kit is available for around US$159.99.
  • Great performance out of the box
  • Good AMD overclocking
  • No overclocking headroom on Intel
The XPG SPECTRIX D50 is a solid memory kit, both literally and figuratively. The heavy duty aluminium heat spreader gives this kit an attractive neutral aesthetic as well as improved cooling. The triangular light bar cutout is unique but not overly intrusive, and the branding remains tastefully minimal.

The XPG SPECTRIX D50 also performed well in testing. The XPG SPECTRIX D50 proved to have no overclocking headroom on my ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7 Intel test bed, but was able to achieve 4133 MHz stable with my MEG X570 ACE. I also had no issues tightening the timings to the "Fast" preset for Micron E-Die. My sample specification is well-optimized for Ryzen systems, both with XMP settings and overclocking.

This specification of the XPG SPECTRIX D50 is currently available for US$159.99. While that price is not a bargain, it is competitive with other premium memory kits. The XPG SPECTRIX D50 could be a great choice if it catches your eye and fits your build.
