Packaging
The M2K arrives in a tin box, within which the mouse sits perfectly cushioned. The cable is routed around the mouse in a circular fashion to prevent it from kinking.
Weight
My scale shows around 23 g (+/- 1 g), which is slightly less than the 24 g cited by Zaunkoenig. Truthfully, the M2K has absolutely no competition in this regard and is only eclipsed by its predecessor, the M1K, which weighs yet another gram less but lacks a scroll wheel.
Cable
Unlike most other cables for gaming mice, the cable of the M2K is neither rubber nor braided. Instead, Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is employed for the sheathing along with wires of no more than 50 μm (=0.05 mm) thickness, resulting in a cable as flexible as it is light. In order to ensure signal integrity at polling rates higher than 1000 Hz, the cable is fully shielded. Compared to the also fully shielded cables of the Razer Viper 8K or Corsair Sabre RGB Pro, the M2K cable easily comes out on top and may be regarded as the most flexible fully shielded cable currently available. At the same time, for a mouse this small and lightweight, even the lightest and most flexible cable can feel limiting at times, as is the case on the M2K. Its measured length is 1.60 m.
Feet
The feet on the M2K are non-dyed 99.7% pure PTFE (Teflon) feet with rounded edges from Corepad. Glide is excellent. They are 0.7 mm thick, which is above average. The feet are placed in such a manner that their removal is not necessary for accessing the internals.
