The Zaward Twin Towers is a unique approach to chipset cooling. While it is a tall unit, it is not as wide as some other chipset coolers like the Thermalright HR-05. The rotating secondary heatpipe does allow greater compatibility by allowing the user to position it where it will fit best. Not having a fan makes this a completely silent option, and performance was better than the stock heatpipe solution.
One of the major downsides to a chipset cooler like this, is that it will not work for everyone. There will be a lot of instances where the chipset will be partially covered by the video card(s) or a CPU heatsink. In cases like the DFI NF4 Ultra-D there is not enough clearance for the main heatpipe tower, regardless of where the second tower would be. The user will need to verify the location of the chipset and look for any clearance issues, taking into consideration larger video cards and CPU heatsinks. The other issue was with the quality of the base. The small nicks and dings are something that Zaward needs to keep an eye out for, not only to provide the best contact possible, but to avoid any damage to the user's chipset.
The Twin Towers from Zaward should be available now in Asia, and will be available in Europe in the middle of September. If you are in the market for a noiseless chipset cooler, check your system for compatibility and see if the Twin Towers will work for you.
