A Closer Look - Outside

Out of the box, without the window panels, the Antec Torque already makes a really cool impression. It is actually rather compact, and the aluminium panels are quite intricate with lots of bends, cutouts, and overlaps. In that regard, the Antec Torque is much more elaborate than some other open air cases in the past.


Looking at either side of the chassis, you can see that they are essentially symmetrical in shape with the only difference being the motherboard tray, which naturally does not exist in its entirety on the main side of the Torque.


As the case is set to lean forward nearly 45°, the front is facing downward. You may remove the panel to access the front fan/radiator mounting possibilities. Antec allows you to install either three 120 mm fans or a 360 mm radiator in this position. Looking at the rear, you can see that the interior of the case (if you can call it that) is actually somewhat traditionally arranged with the PSU bay on the bottom.


Taking a closer look at the front, there is a large "A" denoting Antec's new logo, which is meant to light up. Above that are two USB 3.0 and a single USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connector next to the usual audio I/O. A circular power button with an embedded LED has been placed in the middle of the I/O section.


In the rear, the bottom PSU bay is basically formed by the underside's aluminium piece. It has been bent twice, which allows you to slide a standard ATX unit into place. Above that, you will find the seven expansion slots with some cool, reusable covers on them. In the very top, you can see another set of three 120 mm fan-mounting possibilities which may also be used to add a second 360 mm radiator.


To gain access to the top, you have to remove the four large knobs with the Allen key. Taking them off allows you to detach the gray aluminium cover, which in turn frees up the mounting area for the fans/radiator.
