I was a bit shocked to see the CPU VRM only have a single MOSFET cooler on one side and no cooler up top. Be that as it may, with this platform's low power draw, that is a minor concern. Many MOSFETs are capable of pushing the power it takes without the need of a large heatsink, and this was further evidenced by taking thermal readings of the uncovered MOSFETs while the system was under load. The PCH cooler is large and flat and more than ample for the Z270 PCH.
