The Acer SA100 is a solid-state drive in the 2.5" form factor, launched in 2021. It is available in capacities ranging from 240 GB to 1.9 TB. This page reports specifications for the 240 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the Acer SA100 interfaces using a SATA 6 Gbps connection. The SSD controller is the MAS0902A-B2C from MaxioTech, a DRAM cache is not available. Acer has installed 96-layer QLC NAND flash on the SA100, the flash chips are made by Micron. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are soaked up more quickly. The SA100 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 549 MB/s and 449 MB/s write; random IOPS reach up to 40K for reads and 71K for writes.
The SSD's price at launch is unknown. The warranty length is set to three years, which is above average, but shorter than the five years offered by many other vendors. Acer guarantees an endurance rating of 80 TBW, a typical value for consumer SSDs.
