The ScaleFlux CSD 5510 is a solid-state drive in the U.2 form factor, launched on August 1st, 2024. It is available in capacities ranging from 3.8 TB to 15 TB. This page reports specifications for the 15 TB variant. With the rest of the system, the ScaleFlux CSD 5510 interfaces using a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the FX5016 from ScaleFlux, a DRAM cache chip is available. ScaleFlux has installed 176-layer TLC NAND flash on the CSD 5510, the flash chips are made by Micron. Thanks to support for the fast PCI-Express 5.0 interface, performance is excellent. The CSD 5510 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and 11,000 MB/s write; random IO reaches 3200K IOPS for read and 430K for writes.
