Anker Unleashes Groundbreaking Anker Prime Series Charging Solutions

Anker, the world's #1 mobile charging brand, today introduced its highly anticipated Anker Prime Series, setting a new standard for best-in-class charging solutions for every need. The new generation of high-speed, multi-port chargers were developed to leverage the full benefits of Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, including more efficient power transfer, compact design and active heat reduction and monitoring. The Anker Prime lineup features the 240-watt charger for high-performance laptops and the 250-watt power bank (also available in two lower watt models) with an optional 100-watt charging base. The compact charging base enables users to wirelessly charge their power bank, and also doubles as a standalone charger. In addition, the Anker Prime series includes a 100-watt charger and 67-watt charger, as well as a sleek and powerful 6-in-1 charging station, ideal for maintaining an uncluttered workspace.

"When you are on the road with a phone, a tablet, a smartwatch, headphones, and a laptop - how often have you had to make a choice about which product to keep powered on?" asks Steven Yang, CEO of Anker. "At Anker, we understand these dilemmas and are dedicated to providing solutions that empower our customers to stay connected without compromise. Our latest Anker Prime Series has taken a leap forward in delivering charging accessories that not only charge everything faster but also cater to the growing demands of today's diverse devices. With the Anker Prime Series, Anker continues its mission to charge everything, anywhere, faster and all at once; empowering users with unrivaled power, portability, and performance."
Anker Prime 240-watt GaN Desktop Charger: Unlimited Charging Potential
The 240-watt desktop charger marks Anker's most powerful USB-C charger to date. This multi-port charging hub, offering three USB-C ports and one USB-A, can charge two MacBook Pros, an iPhone, and an iPad simultaneously at high speed. Yet, it is only slightly larger than the original single-port 140-watt laptop charger, while hosting four high-speed charging ports. The Anker Prime 240-Watt Desktop Charger showcases a notable milestone towards eliminating the need for proprietary, bulky laptop chargers, leaving no device wanting for power.

Anker Prime 250-watt Power Bank: Superior Power Delivery Anytime, Anywhere
This ultra high-capacity power bank delivers more than 27,000 mAh capacity and 250 watts of simultaneous power output, capable of charging an iPhone 14 almost five times or a Samsung S23 Ultra almost four times on a single charge. Paired with the Anker app, this power bank optimizes charging, monitors charging status with a display screen, and if the device goes missing at the home or office, the user can locate it using Bluetooth. Additionally, the Anker Prime power bank is compatible with a wireless charging base that makes it easier than ever to keep the power bank charged and ready to go at a minute's notice. The Anker Prime power bank is also available in two lower wattage models (200 W and 130 W).

Wireless 100-watt Charging Base: Convenience at Your Fingertips
The Anker Prime 250-watt power bank also comes with a game-changing wireless 100-watt charging base. This base offers an elegant solution for keeping the power bank fully charged at all times, a true lifesaver for last-minute packers. Beyond charging the power bank, this base doubles as a convenient 3-port, 100-watt charger to keep on the desk or tossed in a bag for use as a portable standalone charger. The wireless 100 W Charging Base is compatible with all three power bank models. This device is sold separately or can be purchased as a bundle with the Anker Prime 250 W power bank.

Anker Prime 67-watt GaN Charger: Perfect Blend of Portability and Power
The Anker Prime 67-watt Charger, is Anker's most portable high-watt charger ever, packing three ports and the ability to effortlessly charge a 15-inch MacBook Air. This charger is 51% smaller than the original single-port 67-watt charger, easily fitting into the user's front pocket or small handbag.

Anker Prime 100-watt GaN Charger: Empowering the Multi-tasking Road Warrior
The Anker Prime 100-watt Charger includes three ports, enabling simultaneous high-speed charging for both a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro. Notably, it is 45% smaller than Apple's original single-port 96-Watt charger, streamlining every charging need without compromising on power or performance. Both the 67-watt and 100-watt Anker Prime GaN chargers have been redesigned to sit compact and snug against an AC wall outlet.

Anker Prime 6-in-1 Charging Station: An Upgraded Level of Efficiency
For users seeking unparalleled versatility and a clutter-free desk, the Anker Prime 6-in-1 charging station was created with a sleek and ultra-thin design. Compared to last year's model, this upgraded charging station features 140-watts (compared to 100-watts) and a new smart display that allows users to easily monitor the charging status of their devices. With two AC outlets and 140 watts of plug-in power, this charging station is capable of charging up to four devices simultaneously, making it the ultimate solution for efficient charging.

I was looking to buy Anker USB C, 737 Charger GaNPrime 120W but heard of compatibility issues with some devices. Is this a refresh of that series of chargers and is compatibility better?

Very possible, they seem to be available globally, but I can't swear to it.

Considering they were just announced as of today, it's impossible to say if compatibility is better.
What specific issues did you see?
It's important to keep an eye on what each output can do, especially when multiple devices are plugged in.
I ended up getting a 140 W Aukey, simply because it can do 65 + 65 W output when two USB PD devices are attached. A lot other charges do 100 + 20 W, which is useless if you want to power a pair of laptops from one charger for example.
I would guess this is what a lot of people call compatiblity issues, when in fact it's a design limitation due to the chargers being somewhat inflexible when using multiple outputs.
The other thing that might come up, is if you have a device that supports some kind of proprietary fast charging standard that might not be supported, then the device would charge at a slower speed.
My SO ended up getting a Lenovo tablet that supposedly supports USB PD 20 W, but the supplied charger has a USB-A port and it's the only charger we have in the house that can charge the tablet at full speed, so go figure. That's hardly a charger issue, but a device issue.

It was awhile since I looked at it so will have to go back and check reviews on youtube and amazon etc.

I do believe you are right that some of the compatibility issues will be PEBKAC as some people are just plugging in devices randomly without understanding the design limitations.

I added some more with reagard to that above. There are too many obscure, non standard charging standards today and most brand name chargers don't seem to support a lot of those, as the focus is on USB PD, Apple support, Samsung support, QC support and maybe or or two other minor "standards".

100% these chargers are not always plug and play with so many different standards and devices out in the wild. One has to understand their devices and the design choices on these chargers to keep things optimal. This is all useful information for those that maybe reading this thread and unaware of some of the challenges one may see.

I just wish they did an "international" version of the 737 charger or its eventual replacement, the kind that has EU & UK plugs that slide over the US pins when folded in.

I'm pretty sure this guy has a EU & UK version of the 737

That's the other part of the reason I got the Aukey charger, but sadly the quality of their slide over plugs aren't that great, as they feel poorly attached. We'll see how it goes over time.

That's a UK-only one.
I meant like where he talks about his macbook charger at 7m47s and pulls out a box of extra bits that let it plug in anywhere.

Like this older one of Ankers:-

Probably about 2 months ago I was looking at multi port chargers, there was two main concerns.

The first one is a lack of capacity, usually the only high capacity charging port was usb-c, however all my usb-c phones only one end of the cable is usb-c the other is usb type A, so immediate incompatibility.

None of their chargers were over 30w capacity on type A ports which seems odd (obviously possible as OEM's make them), and they would slow down when using multiple ports at same time.

In addition was complaints (even on anker) of chargers going up in flames, ports becoming loose, falling to bits within 6 months of purchase, so it all scared me off.

Eventually brought a portable multi socket extension for next to my bed where each socket also has its own power switch, so can keep all chargers (and my usb fan) all plugged in at once, and all the time just flipping the switches to activate power, also at a fraction of the cost, as these multi port chargers as can be seen from article can get quite expensive.

www.anker.com/uk/products/a2343-100w-usb-c-charger?variant=44532379058340&discount=WSCPIH99WT

Still seems same, they usb-c limited, only one type A port on this one, usb-a is a crappy 15w. £80 for one type A 15w port.
