HIS Releases HD 5770 Fan Graphics Card
HIS released a custom-design graphics card based on the ATI Radeon HD 5770 GPU, part of its generally cost-effective "Fan" series. The HIS HD 5770 Fan 1GB (H577FL1GDG) uses a GPU cooler which uses heat pipes to transfer heat to a circular aluminum fin array surrounding a fan. Unlike with older Fan series models (such as the HD 4850 Fan) which had seemingly skimpy cooling, HIS placed a plastic shroud on top of the cooler. It uses reference AMD clock speeds: 850 MHz (core), 1200 MHz (memory), and sports 1 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit interface. Connectivity includes one each DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPort. It is expected to be priced around $140~$150.

but bare in mind its to hide their shoddy coolers.
The coolers that were on the last gen cards were the bare minimum also, and with after market they still overclocked, the same will apply to this generation.
Unless they've magic'd the GPUs then fair game to ATI :p
Now that is the cooler ^ LOL!!!
Yeah, but this oem cooler is way better (or a better fit for the card) over the older oem coolers, not to say it is the greatest..... but it gets the job done. I don't think an after market cooler would make as much difference as it did with my old 3870. One thing for certain I don't think it is worth the effort of a DIY unless it is liquid cooling.
*edit* my god , that is cooler! They were obviously inspired by the bat mobile esque original cooler!
Amazing :D
Anyway it`s nice to see that non-reference cards are coming , good or bad ones , but i expect better from HIS .
This is an egg cooler with a nicer shroud and a blue fan.
