Sparkle Announces 2 GB GeForce GT 220 Graphics Card

SPARKLE Computer Co., Ltd., the professional VGA card manufacturer and supplier, today announced the SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB Graphics Card the first GT220 graphics card on market with 2GB video memory configuration, bringing incredible 3D power to mainstream gamers.

Based on NVIDIA's next generation GT216 architecture, the SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB Graphics Card adopt innovative unified architecture, dynamically allocates processing power to geometry, vertex, physics, or pixel shading operations, delivering up to 2x the gaming performance of prior generation GPUs. Built upon technologies such as NVIDIA Lumenex Engine, providing support for DirectX 10.1 Shader Model 4.0, NVIDIA Quantum Effects technology for physics computation and GigaThread Technology for extreme processing efficiency in advanced, next generation shader programs.
oday's game, such as Crysis2, Stalker: Call Of Pripyat, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, they normally use a large number of bump texture, transparent texture to describe faces of characters and render realistic gaming scenes, so these games put higher demands on the capacities of video memory. The current situation demands at least 512 MB video memory to run these games. Compared with ordinary GeForce GT 220 graphics cards on market with 1GB video memory, the SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB Graphics Card comes with incredible large 2GB DDR2 video memory, making them to be first batch of GT 220 graphics cards in the world with 2GB video memory.

The SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB Graphics Card is equipped with exquisitely made low-speed cooling fan with low working noise. The cooling fan uses high-density aluminum cooling fins which dramatically raise the heat dissipation area and the thermal performance. Helped with the strong R&D team, SPARKLE also extends the service life of the cooling fins by doing treatment on the fins' surface to prevent the oxidation.

The capacitors are key factor of power supply on the system and it has great impact on system stability. At present, solid capacitors and electrolytic capacitors both store electricity and discharge it when needed. According to factual test, any operation under high frequency and temperature, solid capacitors are able to supply more stable current than electrolytic capacitors and strengthen longer lifespan. Solid capacitors contain zero risk of leaking or exploding. The SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB Graphics Card uses all solid capacitor as a true factor of products quality.

Experience the vivid DX10.1 gaming graphics at fluent frame rates, or go beyond traditional 3D graphics and experience GPU-accelerated NVIDIA PhysX gaming effects, Stereoscopic 3D, and lightning fast video and image processing. All you need is the SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB Graphics Card with full DirectX 10.1 and full Shader Model 4.1 support, delivering unparalleled levels of graphics realism and film-quality effects. Fully integrated support for HDMI 1.3a including xvYCC,Deep color and 7.1 digital surround sound.

That's just stupid. They wasted memory chips. For card with such low processing power 512 MB is more than enought.

"Today‘s game, such as Crysis2, Stalker: Call Of Pripyat, Battlefield: Bad Company 2"... are exactly what you'll be playing on a GT220. Maybe if They'd renamed it to GTX410, it's believe it...

*facepalm*

Now the dumb, computer illiterate shoppers will think that it is just as good as a 5870 because "it has more RAM". Buying this is probably as dumb as buying a GTX 295 to play WoW.

Won't it just be fun to try to play something with one of those shiny new SPARKLEs on a system with Win XP and 2GB RAM?

LOL 2GB on a GT220 = On a GT240 i can see, but i had a 1GB GT220 from BFG and the card is slightly faster then a 9500GT, so yea its kinda a waste of time.

Very stupid, I had a Sparkle 2GB 9600GT GDDR2 and it was slower than my friend's 9600GT 512MB GDDR3, even at high resolutions

well of course - your 9600GT with DDR2 had a 128bit mem interface where as the DDR3 version has 256bit. to be more blunt - yours is the 'cheaper' cut down 9600

I would like to have a " good " 2GB non power connector card tho, maybe one day :(
Even tho, 512mb seems to be working out pretty good with the cards which i have been using.

Yes, I agree, 2GB to accelerate that 25MB flash file to ulta uber HDHD, no thats not a mistake, that is HD, HD. Twice the definition of HD, impossible until the 2GB card. Or the 1MB flash farmville, as it unpacks to 1936MB when you play it at 1680X1050.

1GB for extreme graphics, the other GB for music to listen to while you're gaming! At least, I think that's how it works...
