Kingston Technology Adds New HyperX T1 Black Triple-Channel Memory Kits
Kingston Technology Europe Ltd, an affiliate of Kingston Technology Company Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the release of HyperX T1 Black DDR3 triple-channel memory kits. The new memory kits are designed to meet the performance requirements for the new Intel Core i7-990X chipset and X58-based motherboards and are available in kits of three or six modules and in capacities up to 24GB. Mine run at CL7 @ 1600MHz and only 1.5v
(Just to add, my Ridgeback Kit is the original model which has the black fins, not the red ones like the new Ridgeback Red kits have.)
OCZ does(did) 1600MHz at CL8 at 1.35v
or
Mushkin does 1600MHz at CL6 at 1.65v
Personally, if its Intel then you are far better off with MHz than latencies as they have such an aggressive pre-fetch. Something like 1833MHz at CL8/9 or even 2133MHz at CL9 is pretty common now but don't seem to do it in 4GB DIMMs at that speed yet, not for sane money anyway.
