Announcing the 2011 World Community Grid Contest
TechPowerUp World Community Grid (WCG) team is at the forefront of promoting the power of distributed computing to help solve the world's problems. The team decided to run our biggest distributed computing contest this year in a bid to promote participation. The contest involves scoring the most WCG BIONC points for TechPowerUp! team (#22175) over the duration of the contest. The winner and first runner up get awesome new cruching boxes (distributed computing headless PCs) that are configured with components that help with distributed computing applications. These include multi-core 64-bit processors and NVIDIA CUDA-powered GPUs.
