Have never heard of them before. I'm still not a fan of HD resolutions at that size, 23-24 inches are the sweet spot imo.

Don't know why they put out an external power brick instead of integrating it in the monitor itself. The back I/O already pertrudes out of the monitor, what is the problem if they stick the power supply internally right above the I/O? It's just that a lot of people are annoyed with power bricks moreso than a slightly thicker monitor. But this thing looks to be great on power consumption, maybe having an external power source helps the monitor achieve this efficiency? The power saving fiends will love this though :)

Because in stores, people are much more impressed by thin monitors like theses. It sells much better this way

Well 1st thing i thought when i had seen the pics it looked nice and sharp looking but was spoilt by being shiny ( YUK )..

I personally love the idea of a external power for it i wish more did it.

There I was, thinking TPU was an enthusiast site, and we are bombarded with low-end consumer underspec. Let's get some PR info on some more interesting products, things that are of interest to the TPU community.

I do understand that TPU receives revenues from some marketing PR deal, and it needs to continue to fund the servers. But how about a POLICY, like one "exciting or unusual product" for every "naff consumer me-too"? The reviews TPU do are great, but the PR marketing ticket is boring IMO and is spoiling the TPU brand value.

^^ It's difficult to tell, if a monitor is just a re-badged cheapo in a different shell.

After going through a slew of repairing brand monitors recently, I have come across monitors which have circuitry and identical panels from brands which are considered cheap and nasty.

Once you get into monitors....you find that what looks great on the outside, is actually not as fantastic on the inside.

YES! Internal power or attached power brick. Having seen a monitor with the latter feature, there is no way I'll ever buy a monitor with a loose brick going forward.
