PowerColor Previews its LCS HD7970 Graphics Card
More Tahiti goodness is coming up as PowerColor has confirmed with a nice clear photo that it's working on a watercooled Radeon HD 7970 card. Dubbed LCS (Liquid Cooling System) HD7970, the card comes equipped with a (single-slot) waterblock from Slovenia's own EK team.
PowerColor's watercooled card also features 2048 Stream Processors, a 384-bit memory interface, 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, DVI, HDMI and dual mini DisplayPort outputs, plus DirectX 11.1 capabilities, CrossFireX support, and a PCI-Express 3.0 interface. No word on the card's clocks (yet) but they should be higher than on stock models. Expect more info later this month.

I haven't even read the article yet.....
but YES!!!!!
Any word on pricing? Should be something like 670USD counting the block.
"enthusiast" - my arse.
I just want to buy 7970 WITHOUT stock air cooler. And buy aftermarket water block.
Stock air cooler is a significant piece of whole card's manufacturing cost.
Liquid stock cooler should cost around the same as air one. If not cheaper.
The whole liquid cooling is an "enthusiast rip-off"
Fan/hinksinks(stock) are cheaper because the Mass Produce them.
LC/Hinksink are more because they they dont make nearly as many. +Plus using the CN
C takes time & money. PPL who run CNC make good money .. its slow work too.
(just did some looking CNC (USED) run from 250k - 1.4mill)

Black PCB w black/nickel HSF FTW!
It would be sweet if someone could come up with a water system like the corsair H100 but have it so you can somehow connect directly to cards like these with out haveing to go through all the hassle. Of custom loops.
