Arctic Makes Accelero Hybrid Generally Available Late May

First pictured with Inno3D GeForce GTX 680 iChill Hybrid, Arctic plans to make its Accelero Hybrid air+liquid graphics card cooler generally available on May 29. The Accelero Hybrid consists of a closed-loop liquid cooler for the GPU, and a cooler shroud that suspends a fan, which guides air through heatsinks over the VRM and memory chips. Heat from the GPU is dissipated at a 1U radiator, which is ventilated by a 120 mm Actic F12 PWM-controlled fan. Measuring 243 (L) x 112 (W) x 44.2 (H) mm, the net weight of the cooler (graphics card module) is 363 g; while the radiator measures 150 (L) x 120 (W) x 52.8 (H) mm, weighing 503 g.

Arctic includes heatsinks for the VRM and memory chips, a syringe of Arctic MX-4 thermal interface material for the GPU base, and Arctic thermal adhesive tapes for the VRM and memory heatsinks. Arctic did not give out a complete list of graphics cards supported, but it does mention that both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards will be supported. Support for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 has already been established thanks to Inno3D.

It would be nice if they could do different varients of this, for instance a Dual rad version that can cool 2 GPUs for multi-GPU setups, that would be awesome. id get one for my 6970s

I wish they made it withouth the need to remove the stock vrm / mem heatsink.

actually, i think u can mod it a little so it will be hidden in there since it's not highere end the stock cooler (2 slots) i think it will be possible only thing u need is two holes in the stock cooler for the tubes.

Bjorn_Of_Iceland so u want it to look badass like PNY's XLR8 Liquid Cooled GTX 580? ^^;

There is a guy over @ OCN that makes custom brackets to mount nearly every Hydro/Kuhler model to nearly every modern day GPU. Also has options to have the single bracket also have a place for a traditional 80,92,120mm fan to be added for VRM cooling. They look clean and can lead to a very cheap GPU cooling solution.

Has even a single person bought this? lol..
Not even one review on da egg..
ARCTIC COOLING Accelero Hybrid Fluid Dynamic VGA C...

I was considering getting it when I heard about it a couple months ago but the fact not many, if any are selling, makes me nervous.. I wish TPU could get their hands on one to do a review..
Need to know temps under load and they don't furnish that info.
Hint, hint.. Superwizzardpoweractivate!

I wish they would stop milking their customers ( AIO makers in general) And just release something like this which is nice and low profile, and then just sell different mounting brackets so you can use it for gpu/cpu/nb what ever depending on what you need cooled.

Also I wish instead of sealed units they came with compression fittings so you can upgrade down the line... I mean they're charging enough to throw in the 4 fittings it would require ...
(Obviously you would loose any leak free guarantee they had when you first purchased, but if the pump fails you'd still be covered)

assuming the pump can take the extra stress of more blocks or longer runs;)

also I have the Hybrid:pimp::roll:

Well as shite as the kits are Thermaltake manage it with their bigwater coolers. : ]

the bigwater kits have a 500L/H pump, I highly doubt the low voltage pumps in the Asetek coolers can move that amount.

Pfftt they say it's 500L/H :laugh: I've one in-front of me at the moment and it definitely doesn't :laugh:

ok well then let me say it this way. The AIO pumps have the voltage lowered to a point to where you get a great mix of performance vs. the heat of the pump. This is also adjusted for one pump and the single rad to specifically cool one thing. I believe if you add too much heat from a GPU on top of the CPU load in a system like that you are going to be on the verge of saturating the loop.

EDIT: Asetek does make a dual loop for the CPU and GPU (did make), but it was also a single thick rad and the original pumps. I have to believe it was for stock running PCs because I never seen them go retail outside of OEMs.

How about an obscenely expensive AIO? :laugh:

With a Modified Liang pump :D

For example Dual radiator kit for £100-110 ( currently £80 or so at the moment) Now I think about it Swiftek do kits like this, but not pre-assembled. I want them to preassemable them! :laugh:

sneekypeetI seen one kit at CES that is billed as an AIO, but I had to sign papers not to say too much. I can say this though, if it does come to the market, Asetek and CoolIT will be in trouble!

Actually it seems they have released some info.... hexus.net/tv/show/2012/03/Cooler_Master_returns_to_liquid_cooling
Still watching, but that is one nicely put together piece of kit!

If there prices are correct I was bang on, I should win some brownie points.
