Here's the first picture of Inno3D's flagship GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, the GTX 1080 iChill Black. Based on the reference NVIDIA PCB, the card features a liquid+air hybrid cooling solution by Arctic, the Arctic Accelero Hybrid S. It relies on a factory-fitted, closed-loop AIO block with a 120 mm x 120 mm radiator, to cool the 180W TDP GPU, while using heatsinks and a single 70 mm blower to cool the VRM and memory chips. In all likelihood, this product could be positioned above the GTX 1080 iChill X4.

Inno3D to Give its GeForce GTX 980 and GTX 970 the Accelero Hybrid Treatment

Inno3D is preparing to launch two new graphics cards, based on the GeForce GTX 970 and GTX 980, which will feature Arctic Cooling's latest Accelero Hybrid S cooling solution. A fusion between a factory-fitted closed-loop liquid cooler for the GPU, and fan-heatsink for the memory and VRM, the Accelero Hybrid cooler from Arctic has been licensed by Inno3D for its iChill Black Edition series. The two cards are expected to feature factory-overclocked speeds befitting the liquid cooling solution. Inno3D claims that the cooling performance of the Accelero Hybrid S is twice that of NVIDIA's NVTTM (NVIDIA Time-to-market) reference cooling solutions. Inno3D plans to launch the two some time in December, 2014.

Arctic Announces Four New Universal Graphics Card Coolers

Arctic Cooling announced four new graphics card coolers, the Accelero Hybrid II-120, the Accelero Xtreme IV, the Accelero Xtreme IV 280, and the Accelero Twin Turbo III, pictured below in that order. The Accelero Hybrid II-120, as its name might suggest, is a combination of an air and liquid cooling solution. It combines a large heatsink that cools memory and VRM; and a closed-loop GPU cooler, with a 120 mm radiator assembly. The cooler supports all modern graphics cards, including those based on NVIDIA's GK110 (eg: GTX 780 Ti), GK104 (eg: GTX 760), GK106 (eg: GTX 660); and AMD's "Hawaii" (eg: R9 290X), "Tahiti" (eg: R9 280X), and "Pitcairn/Curacao" (eg: R9 270X). Arctic is pricing this cooler at $130.

Moving on, there's the Accelero Xtreme IV. It features a similar backside heatsink to the Accelero Hybrid II-120, which cools the memory and VRM; while the GPU is cooled by a large aluminium fin-stack heatsink. The heatsink confines to two expansion slots, but is taller than a standard full-height add-on card. The heatsink is 288 mm long, 104 mm tall, and 54 mm thick. It features two aluminium fin stacks arranged along the length of the heatsink, to which heat drawn from the GPU is conveyed by five 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes. The heatsink is ventilated by three 92 mm fans that each have 4-pin PWM control. The Accelero Xtreme IV supports all the GPUs that the Accelero Hybrid II-120 does. It's priced at $100.

Prolimatech MK-26 and Arctic Accelero Xtreme III Compatible with R9 290X

Prolimatech and Arctic independently announced support of their flagship VGA heatsinks for AMD's Radeon R9 290X graphics card. The MK-26 and MK-26 Black Series from Prolimatech, and the Accelero Xtreme III and Accelero Hybrid from Arctic, each support the R9 290X, and will by the same token, support the upcoming R9 290. The three are capable of handling the >250W TDP heat output of the R9 290X.

Inno3D Announces GeForce GTX Titan iChill Black Series

Inno3D rolled out its newest flagship graphics card, the GeForce GTX Titan iChill Black Series. The card ships with Arctic's Accelero Hybrid cooling solution pre-fitted to an NVIDIA reference design GTX Titan PCB. The cooler uses a combination of a closed-loop liquid block to cool the GPU, and fan-heatsink to cool other hot components on the card, such as memory chips and VRM.

The GTX Titan iChill Black series ships with factory-overclocked speeds of 937 MHz core, and 980 MHz GPU Boost, against NVIDIA reference speeds of 837 MHz core and 876 MHz GPU Boost. Memory clock speed stays at 6.00 GHz. Based on the 28 nm GK110 silicon, NVIDIA's GeForce GTX Titan features 2,688 CUDA cores, 224 TMUs, 48 ROPs, and a 384-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 6 GB of memory. The card draws power from a combination of 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connectors, display outputs include a pair of dual-link DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. The company did not release pricing or availability information.

Arctic Touts Radeon HD 8000 Series Compatibility on Accelero Coolers

Not too long ago, Arctic leaked a bucket list socket LGA1150 processors which aren't due for another five months. The PC cooling major now updated the GPU support lists of its Arctic Xtreme 7970 and Arctic Accelero S1 Plus to include three Radeon HD 8000 series GPUs, HD 8970, HD 8950, and HD 8870. Either Arctic is riding on the assumption that the mount hole spacing of those GPUs won't change from current HD 7000 series, or that it's catering to the various HD 8000 series desktop graphics cards in circulation by OEM desktop PCs, which are rebrands of HD 7000 series parts.

Arctic Unveils Accelero Twin Turbo 690 VGA Cooler for GeForce GTX 690

Arctic unveiled its newest graphics card cooler, the Accelero Twin Turbo 690, for NVIDIA's top-of-the-line GeForce GTX 690 dual-GPU graphics card. The cooler offers 14% lower temperatures, and more importantly, 92% lower noise output at maximum load. The Accelero Twin Turbo 690 is a complex cooler, which uses a pair of primary heatsinks that make contact with the two GK104 GPUs, in combination with a secondary heatsink that draws heat from memory, bridge chip, VRM, and other hot ancillary components, which are ventilated by a pair of 120 mm 400-1500 RPM PWM-controlled fans.

The Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo measures about 288 (L) x 138 (W) x 50 (H) mm, and weighs about 800 g. As such, it doesn't make your GTX 690 much thicker than two expansion card slots would allow. It uses as many as ten 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes to transport heat from the bases to the various heatsinks. The cooler has a maximum thermal capacity of 400W. Arctic plans to make the Accelero Twin Turbo 690 available by 10th of September, priced at US $169.95.

Arctic Makes Accelero Hybrid Generally Available Late May

First pictured with Inno3D GeForce GTX 680 iChill Hybrid, Arctic plans to make its Accelero Hybrid air+liquid graphics card cooler generally available on May 29. The Accelero Hybrid consists of a closed-loop liquid cooler for the GPU, and a cooler shroud that suspends a fan, which guides air through heatsinks over the VRM and memory chips. Heat from the GPU is dissipated at a 1U radiator, which is ventilated by a 120 mm Actic F12 PWM-controlled fan. Measuring 243 (L) x 112 (W) x 44.2 (H) mm, the net weight of the cooler (graphics card module) is 363 g; while the radiator measures 150 (L) x 120 (W) x 52.8 (H) mm, weighing 503 g.

Arctic includes heatsinks for the VRM and memory chips, a syringe of Arctic MX-4 thermal interface material for the GPU base, and Arctic thermal adhesive tapes for the VRM and memory heatsinks. Arctic did not give out a complete list of graphics cards supported, but it does mention that both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards will be supported. Support for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 has already been established thanks to Inno3D.

Inno3D Teases with Liquid-Cooled GeForce GTX 680, Reveals New Arctic Accelero Cooler

Like almost every other NVIDIA AIC partner, Inno3D launched its NVIDIA reference-design air-cooled graphics card. In addition to that, it also teased us with an upcoming liquid-cooled model, which is current still in on the drawing-boards, as a CGI drawing. The card is a combination of a green-colored NVIDIA reference-design PCB (probably overclocked out of the box), and Arctic's newest Accelero Hybrid cooling solution, which combines a small fan-heatsink with a liquid channel. This liquid channel is part of a pre-fitted, self-contained, closed loop. Find the CGI sketches below.

Yeston Unveils GeForce GTX 560 SE GameMaster with 336 CUDA Cores

Yeston unveiled the GeForce GTX 560 SE GameMaster graphics card. The Chinese AIC partner went completely out-of-specifications with its new card, and delivered what's essentially a GeForce GTX 560 (non-Ti). While the GTX 560 SE is supposed to have 288 CUDA cores, the GTX 560 SE GameMaster has 336 (same as GTX 560), and we suspect 256-bit wide memory interface (although it's marked 192-bit). If Yeston was piggy-backing two memory chips over single 32-bit wide paths, the piggy-backed chips would be on the reverse side of the PCB, not obverse. The card is clocked at 820/1640/1002 MHz (core/CUDA cores/memory).

The Yeston GeForce GTX 560 SE GameMaster features a 7-phase VRM design. The VRM makes use of NEC-TOKIN Proadlizer capacitors to deliver the cleanest power to the GPU. It is cooled by Arctic Accelero TwinTurbo Pro VGA cooler, which is renowned for top-class cooling and quietness. Display outputs include two DVI and a mini-HDMI. The card is priced at 999 RMB (US $158.45), in China.

Arctic Readies the Accelero Xtreme 7970 VGA Cooler

The soon-to-be-released Radeon HD 7970 is certainly getting its share of waterblocks but there are also air-based custom coolers coming for AMD's flagship card. One of them is Arctic's Accelero Xtreme 7970 which measures 288 (L) x 104 (W) x 54 (H) mm, weights 653 grams, and features 84 aluminum fins, five 6 mm copper heatpipes, a copper base, and three 92 mm PWM fans that work at 900 to 2000 RPM.

Arctic's cooler comes with pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound, is CrossFireX compatible, and is backed by a six-year warranty. The Accelero Xtreme 7970 costs $97.95 / €73.83 and is set to become available on January 31st.

Arctic Intros S1 Plus Turbo Module

Arctic unveiled the latest accessory for its VGA coolers, the S1 Plus Turbo Module. Arctic releases "turbo module" accessories to provide active air-flow for its passive (silent) VGA coolers. The S1 Plus Turbo Module works with the recently-released Accelero S1 Plus VGA cooler. It's not much more than a 120 mm with a special mount hole spacing. The fan spins at speeds between 600 and 1000 RPM, with noise levels as low as 0.25 sone. Its package includes rubber bolts, that dampen vibrations, a Molex power adapter, and a syringe of Arctic MX-4 thermal compound (you'll probably need to remove the heatsink to attach this, and so you'll need fresh thermal compound). Backed by a six-year warranty, the Arctic S1 Plus Turbo Module is priced at about $12.

Arctic Intros Accelero Mono Plus VGA Cooler

Arctic released a new VGA cooler, the Accelero Mono PLUS. This cooler can handle thermal loads of up to 200W, and maintains a compact fin-stack design, unlike the monolitic heatsink design of the Accelero L2 series. Measuring 136 (L) x 138 (W) x 51 (H) mm, its main heatsink weighs 348 g. From an exposed-copper base (with pre-applied adhesive thermal compound) arise five 6 mm thick copper heat pipes, that fan out to pass through an aluminum fin stack. This stack is ventilated by a 120 mm PWM-controlled fan that can spin at speeds between 400 and 1500 RPM. It can be as quiet as 0.4 Sone.

Arctic Intros Accelero Twin Turbo 6990 Graphics Card Cooler

Arctic slipped in the latest member in its reputed Accelero Twin Turbo series of graphics card coolers, the Accelero Twin Turbo 6990. As the name suggests, it is tailored for the top of the line AMD Radeon HD 6990 dual-GPU graphics card. The cooler is designed to cool everything on the obverse side of the PCB, that includes the two AMD Cayman GPUs, the VRM, and the bridge chip.

The cooler's design consists of two main heat-pipe fed heatsinks over the two GPUs cooled by 120 mm fans, which are connected by a common base. The main heatsinks maintain contact with the GPUs through cutouts in this base, while other components pass heat on to the base. There is a third central heatsink that relies on the air-flow from the two ventilated heatsinks. In all, the heatsink measures 300 (L) x 138 (W) x 50 (H) mm, and weighs 820 g. It doesn't replace the AMD reference backplate, so PCB bending is checked that way. Backed by a 6-year warranty, the Accelero Twin Turbo 6990 is priced at US $150.

Arctic 'Silently' Introduces Accelero L2 Plus VGA Cooler

Arctic introduced the latest member of the iconic Accelero VGA cooler series, the Accelero L2 Plus. The L2 Plus is designed to be a GPU fan-heatsink with a number of individual heatsinks included in the package to cool the VRM and memory. It is targeted at mid-thru-performance segment graphics cards with square GPU bolt layouts. The main fan-heatsink measures 119 (L) x 94 (W) x 51 (H) mm, weighing 250 g. It is a monolithic aluminum heatsink, that uses a 92 mm fan to ventilate it. The base doesn't cover the entire bottom area of the heatsink, and so the fins guide the air down to the PCB, to cool other components.

The main heatsink has the capacity to handle thermal loads of up to 120W. The 92 mm fan spins at speeds between 900 and 2,000 RPM, and is PWM-controlled. It can push up to 27 CFM of air, with noise-level of 0.4 Sone. Apart from the required screws and bolts, there are eight heatsinks each for memory and VRM chips (standard sized MOSFETs). The small heatsinks don't come with thermal tapes, but instead a sachet of Arctic G1 Adhesive TIM is bundled, apart from non-adhesive MX-4 for the main heatsink. GPU compatibility is listed below. The Arctic Accelero L2 Plus is priced at $22.67 in the US, and €17.09 in Europe.

KFA2 Intros GeForce GTX 480 ''Anarchy'' Graphics Card
