Dane-Elec Introduces the mySSD O-Series Solid State Drives
Dane-Elec, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of memory, has added the mySSD O-Series to its new solid-state drive line. The series is designed specifically for the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) market and engineered for the embedded computing, server, notebook, and tablet categories. The O-Series is an ideal solution for mission-critical applications such as military, public safety, utility, homeland security, and mining applications as well as mobile workers in outdoor environment field services in which failure is not an option.
"The mySSD O-Series is designed for high-threat and unpredictable environments in which durability and reliability is absolutely essential," remarked Eric Tafolla, OEM Sales Engineer at Dane-Elec. "Flash-based SSD drives are steadily replacing outdated and less reliable spinning disk drives; however, one product does not fit every customer's unique requirements. That is why we offer customized solutions, where our products are built to meet specific customer needs, in addition to our standard O-Series models."The Dane-Elec mySSD O-Series features include:
● 64 gigabyte (GB), 120 GB and 240 GB available capacities
● SMART enterprise-level data monitoring to head off potential problems before they occur
● Advanced-wear leveling to maximize the drive's endurance
● Two embedded encryption engines: AES-128 in CTR mode and AES-256 in XTS mode
● SMI - SM2244 controllers that provide a high-performance data transfer rate to and from the flash card, excellent data integrity and product reliability, and superior compatibility performance
● 1.8" SATA II - 3 GB per second
● Up to 50k IOPS
● Read speed of up to 285 megabytes (MB) per second and a write speed of up to 275 MB per second
● Compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, and XP; Macintosh OS X; and Linux
● Available in Commercial and Industrial Temperatures
The mySSD O-Series is now available through Dane-Elec. As with all mySSD products, it comes with a five-year warranty, extending the standard three-year warranty and matching the industry average for product refresh cycles.
In addition to the O-Series, the new Dane-Elec mySSD product line includes the X-Series for pro users and gamers; the E-Series for the enterprise market; and the C-Series for consumers.
