G.SKILL Remains Most Popular DDR3 Brand at HWBOT Since 2011-Q4

For the 2nd consecutive quarter, G.SKILL topped the ranking list by internationally renowned overclocking website, HWBOT, as the most popular DDR3 memory brand used within the overclocking community since 2011-Q4. During the 1st quarter of 2012, figures showed more than 1/3 of users within the community have chosen G.SKILL DDR3 kits as their memory solution for breaking overclocking records and benchmarking, while gaining a total of 7.4% of popularity share since Q1, 2011.

As Bill Wang, VP at G.SKILL, stated "G.SKILL memory is widely known for its superior quality and unlimited overclocking headroom. I think Kingston is the biggest one here. Kingston, Crucial and Corsair are the common ones.

That's the big problem for them. They charge up to twice as much money as g.skill for their top ram of equal overclocking performance. I'd say they need to make their binning more cost effective, but truth be told they're probably just jacking it up because they have premium brand recognition.

I Agree with you on that, its all the name honestly. ive seen other modules overclock higher and maintain lower voltages and tighter timings than alot of Corsair Modules. even Value Series Ram from other companies doing this

I'm with who's ram overclocks the best for the best price\ performance and to me it used to be G Skill for me but all Samsung now..

WCG-TPU Team All-Star!
I had no problems with several G Skill kits that I've used; they have all been seriously stable stuff. But after getting my Samsung memory, as Asrock said, that's what I've been liking a lot more.
