Outdoor Tech Deploys Privates, Touch-Control Wireless Headphones

Outdoor Tech, the same outdoor designer brand that brought you the Turtle Shell Bluetooth, rugged, wireless boom box, enlists another player to its cache, the Privates. The Privates wireless headphones feature a touch-pad interface that allows you to control tunes with the flick of a finger.

"We announced the Privates at CE Week earlier in the year garnering intense consumer and retailer interest. We're stoked to begin shipping this highly anticipated piece of our line this week, and expect it to be on top of many must have holiday wish lists," says Caro Krissman, CEO of Outdoor Tech. "The Privates are unlike anything we've done before. We really wanted to expand on our expertise in wireless audio to include something unique, stylish and affordable; we achieved that with the simple touchpad control interface, clean lines, four hot colors and the sub $100 price point."
The Privates touchpad interface is located on the right earpiece and allows the user to change tracks and control volume with the swipe of a finger. They also feature a 3.5mm auxiliary jack for a wired connection to kick it old school in situations that don't allow for Bluetooth connectivity, like on an airplane, with a non-Bluetooth device, or if you forget to charge them.

The Privates also project a fuel gauge onto your device that actively tells you how much juice you've got left. Soft ear pads and a canvas wrap around the headband make for the most comfy headphones out there. Finally, they come with a signature ODT carry pouch. Details count? you don't get a toy with your Happy Meal just arbitrarily. Check out more:
  • 32-Feet of Streaming - The Privates stream crystal-clear audio for a range of up to 32 feet for 10 hours on a single charge.
  • Built-in call functionality - When connected to your phone, the Privates' built-in microphone allows you to make and receive hands-free calls from anywhere, anytime. One press of the multi-function button allows you to answer or hang up a call without ever touching your phone so you can use your hands for more important things, like digging for treasure.
  • Portability - Integrated hinges allow you to fold and stow your Privates when they are not in use.
The Privates are available in black, green, mustard and turquoise and may be purchased for $99.95 at www.outdoortechnology.com.
