Phanteks Rolls Out the MP Series Fans

Phanteks, the award winning designer of the Enthoo Primo, today announced the immediate availability of the PH-F120MP and PHF140MP Series High Static Pressure fans. The new MP Series fans are designed specifically for radiators. They have the ability to overcome the airflow restriction caused by high fin density from radiators. They will be available in 120mm and 140mm sizes.

The MP Series High Static Pressure fans are equipped with a new seven blade design that can produces high static air pressure allowing for a direct and focused airflow making them ideal for the densely packed fins of a radiator. The MP Series fans delivers an outstandingly low vibration, noise and turbulence with the eight preinstalled acoustic dampers.
The new redeveloped blades in MP Series are bigger and designed to achieve higher air pressure. The redesigned MVB II blades generate better airflow and produces better performance. It improves the balance of airflow and air pressure when using with as a cooler fan or case fan.

MP Series' PWM functions allow users to adjust speed from 500 - 1600 RPM on the PH-F140MP and 500 - 1800 RPM on the PH-F120MP. Higher speed for performance and lower for silent operation.

Phanteks products are made to the highest standards and should provide many years of excellent service. Providing you with the best customer care, Phanteks are offering a 5 year warranty.

Are the whole blades that thick or is it just the ends that are a good few millimetres thick?

It's a bit easier to see on the 140, but it looks like its just the edge of the blade that's flared out a tad.

Any word on pricing?

The blade is tapered and the end is wider.

These fans are so those with inferior CLCs so they can spend more money trying to cool their PC as the OEM Corsair fans are too noisy for many.

Hmmm, I just checked out their specs. the 140mm fan has 1.62 mmH2O of static pressure.

Doesn't cut it for value in my opinion for radiators.

BitFenix 140mm Spectre Pro PWM does 2.8 mmH2O and they are no longer the leader. I believe Noctua released production grade fans with even higher static pressure.

BitFenix embellishes their fan specs (like most manufacturers). BeQuiet, Noctua, and Phanteks are the only fan specs I have seen that are consistently accurate.

Those BitFenix fans are mediocre at best and, well, you can look into the "value proposition" of Noctua's Industrial line :D
