Arctic Announces P14 Max High Performance 140mm Case Fan
An addition to ARCTIC's extensive range of fans: The P14 Max complements the existing high-performance series with a high-performance 140 mm model. The P14 Max impresses above all with its extremely wide speed range, which extends from a minimum of 400 to a maximum of 2800 rpm. It's equipped with a Fluid Dynamic Bearing, allowing for near-silent operation at low speeds, while at the same time guaranteeing brutal performance when it's needed.
As ARCTIC's most powerful 140 mm fan, it provides a significant leap in performance over existing air- and water-cooling solutions. Like the P-Max models already introduced, the high-speed fan is also characterized by proven features such as the closed ring fan wheel for low-vibration rotation and a focused airflow at high static pressure. In addition to the classic single fan, the P14 Max is also available in a practical pack of 5.
Features
The new P14 Max is now available on ARCTIC webshop, eBay and Amazon for the price of € 11.49 (MSRP € 17.99), the P14 Max - 5 Pack is available from € 43.99 (MSRP: € 59.99).

So the setup is that any PWM signal from the motherboard header that is below 3% results in 0 fan rpm. So no power is being consumed. At 3% the fan switches on and runs at around 400 rpm. It is more common for 0% PWM = 0 fan rpm but Arctic have used up to 3% for some reason.
Like many Arctic fans, the P14 Max is 27mm wide rather than the standard 25mm width.
Thickness is not really a limited factor for a fan in anything but the smallest case.
I wish 30mm was the standard and 25mm was considered "thin".
The P12 Max wasn't the best fan ever but it's a very good price/performance high-airflow option, so it's nice to finally get the 140mm variant launched.
Anyway, I might buy 2 for my sig rig.
I hope they have PST models too
Gründlichkeit not Gründigkeit
if you want to make a point, at least use the correct word :D
@Blurpy
the 5 packs seem to have trouble after about 1-2y of use, at least all that i used (F/P) started to make a "ticking" noise at lower rpm,
while those from non-packs didnt.
but yeah, there are only a handful of other languages which are as difficult (or more), as german..
Short of about a year that i worked in a pc part shop and had discount, im buying/using Arctic fans since 2003,
and that includes builds for friends/family not just mine (+50).
and that's ignoring some ppl on this forum stated the same, so no, not about luck.
